How to Get there?

The main gateway to the island is Cesária Évora International Airport, located just outside Mindelo. International flights connect São Vicente with several cities, particularly Lisbon and other Portuguese destinations.

Domestic flights also link São Vicente with other islands such as Sal, Praia, and Boa Vista.

Another popular way to reach São Vicente is by ferry from neighboring Santo Antão. The ferry route between Mindelo and Porto Novo is one of the busiest inter-island connections in Cape Verde and takes about one hour.
